Inspired by a true story, Bare Knuckles stars Jeanette Roxborough as a desperate single mother who enters an underground Mixed Martial Arts competition in order to provide for her young daughter. Samantha Rogers (Roxborough) is a cocktail waitress who only holds onto her job out of sheer desperation. One night, while breaking up a bar brawl between a pair of belligerent women, Samantha makes a big impression on struggling fight promoter Sonny Cool (Martin Kove), who convinces her to test her fighting skills in the ring. Before long, the frustrated cocktail waitress is earning big money in the world of illegal, bare-knuckle female fighting. Although her better judgment tells her that she should make a clean break from this sordid underworld as quickly as possible, her motherly instincts convince her that the only way to ensure a bright future for her daughter is to fight with everything she’s got until she can’t throw another punch.

He’s single-minded about giving dying individuals the right to determine how their lives will end. He wants the Supreme Court to rule. He picks a fight he can’t win: is it hubris or heroism?

Small-town devout girl Angie is hired by Jim and Violet Stanton to babysit their son Sam. Aware of the recent reports of missing people, she believes someone is stalking her. On the way to the Stantons’ farm, her car breaks down. She is given a lift by Rick, her friend, who promises to repair her car.

At the farm, Jim and Violet tell Angie that Sam is asleep upstairs, and leave her with instructions for the night. During the night, Angie receives several strange phone calls and hears noises outside. Frightened, Angie calls Rick and the Chief of Police. The police chief reassures Angie, and tells her that he will stop by later in the night. As the night moves on, she is attacked by a heavily scarred man.

In a late night bar, Henry is approached by a mysterious woman who offers to sell him the severed “manhood” of Wales’ greatest vocal entertainer… Believing he can make a fortune selling the infamous appendage on to obsessive fans, Henry stumps up the cash.

Dagur Kari’s character study The Good Heart follows crusty old bar owner Jacques (Brian Cox) as he trains a generous young homeless man named Lucas (Paul Dano) to take over his beloved bar. Jacques suffers from a very bad heart, and understands that any day could be his last. However, this does not stop him from chain smoking, drinking nonstop, and hurling an endless stream of poetically vulgar insults at the regulars who gather at his establishment every night. As the two begin to slowly influence each other, Lucas falls in love with April, and Jacques insists that women have no place in his bar.

“How I Got Lost” is the heartbreaking yet hopeful story of Andrew and Jake, two friends dealing with loss amidst events bigger than them. Andrew is the friend we all have, the one who convinces you to come along despite your better judgment. Talented but with seemingly nothing to lose, his tailspin is balanced only by his professional drive to succeed as a trader on Wall Street. His best friend Jake, broken-hearted and writing sports instead of fiction, does his best to clean up the mess his friend creates until he runs into his capricious ex, Sarah again. So Andrew convinces him to ditch New York and hit the road, going nowhere. They commandeer a cab to Philadelphia, where they borrow Andrew’s mom’s station wagon. But when their car runs out of gas in the middle of Pennsylvania, Andrew reveals the real reason for the trip – his father has died, and he doesn’t think he can make it through the funeral alone. On the road and in small town Ohio, Jake encounters the people who will help him start over. Meanwhile Andrew runs away until he can’t run any more.
